Sheila Silverstein, Office Manager: Great Neck & Manhattan
Sheila has been the office manager for Bass Plastic Surgery since September 2001. She has been working in Plastic Surgery for over 35 years, and has extensive knowledge about aesthetic procedures, what they can do and what the recovery is like. Sheila coordinates all billing and insurance activities in the practice, including pre-certifications. Sheila loves to paint, garden, and travel in her free time, and also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Mitchell Fernandez, Clinical Assistant: Manhattan
Mitchell assists with treatments and coordinates many of the details of keeping the facility running and supplied. Mitchell has worked for Bass Plastic Surgery since August 2009. Mitchell has a Medical Assistant certification from Anthem Institute, and before coming to New York, was a medical assistant for a board certified plastic surgeon in Texas for two years. Mitchell loves fashion, cooking, and is a die-hard professional hockey fan.
Laura McDermott, Clinical Assistant: Great Neck & Manhattan
Laura has worked for Bass Plastic Surgery since her graduation from Columbia University in August 2010. Laura graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology, and plans to attend medical school in August 2012.
Michele Rivard, Physician Assistant: Manhattan
Michele is our operating room supervisor. She coordinates the operating room and recovery room care for our patients during surgical procedures. She provides counseling on proper care at home during recovery and is available to answer questions on any aspect of plastic surgery. Michele has worked with Bass Plastic Surgery since 2000. Michele graduated Cum Laude from Long Island University’s Physician Assistant program and also holds a graduate degree in surgery from Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants, as well as the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. She is also a registered nurse. Prior to working at Bass Plastic Surgery, Michele was a medical provider in internal medicine. Michele is also proficient in a variety of laser procedures. Before entering the medical field, Michele worked in the performing arts as a dancer and singer. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and fitness.
Erica Rodriguez, Receptionist: Manhattan
Erica is the voice answering the phone and coordinating appointments. Erica has worked for Bass Plastic Surgery since August 2001. She loves event planning, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Isabel Yerkes, Patient Coordinator and Laser Technician: Manhattan
As patient coordinator, Isabel is the source of background information on the various treatments and procedures available in the practice. She can provide more information, schedule a consultation or organize a series of treatments. Isabel has been working for Bass Plastic Surgery since September 2007. She graduated from Columbia University in January of 2010, and has completed company training provided by Palomar, Zeltiq (Coolsculpting), Ulthera (Ultherapy), and Solta (Fraxel) in all non-ablative energy and ultrasound based treatments performed in the office. In her free time, Isabel enjoys yoga, spinning, traveling, and as a California native, loves the beach!
