Dr. Lawrence Bass
Dr. Bass is a nationally recognized innovator and authority on advanced technologies in aesthetic plastic surgery. Over the past 25 years, he has written and lectured extensively on his research in advanced surgical techniques including laser and other non-surgical technologies. He has over 90 scientific publications in journals such as Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Annals of Plastic Surgery and Lasers in Surgery and Medicine. He has presented his research results and aesthetic surgery techniques at over 200 scientific lectures at meetings before the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Giants in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Symposium sponsored by Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, among others. He has served on the Device and Technique Assessment Committee of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation, on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery and on the Non-surgical Techniques Committee of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Emerging Technologies and Techniques in Plastic Surgery
Dr. Bass directed the symposium “Emerging Technologies and Techniques in Plastic Surgery" at NYU for more than 12 years to train surgeons in the latest advances. He was the founding plastic surgery course director for a new multidisciplinary symposium “Summit in Aesthetic Medicine” which provided a critical overview of new developments in the surgical and non-surgical sides of this explosively growing field.
Minimally Invasive Plastic Surgery Program at NYU Medical Center
Dr. Bass directed the Minimally Invasive Plastic Surgery Program at NYU Medical Center where he was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery for more than 15 years. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is frequently called upon to offer his expertise to the national media, such as CNN, The CBS Early Show, Fox News, The Learning Channel, Doctor Radio on Sirius Satellite Radio, Allure, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, among others and has served as a media spokesperson for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
