March 20, 2020 To all my patients: I am writing to update you on the status of clinical services at Bass Plastic Surgery in the midst of the blossoming Corona virus epidemic in New York. Based on New York State Department of Health and professional medical society recommendations, all elective surgery had been cancelled earlier this week. In the interest of the safety of our patients, we were in the process of cancelling all elective visits when Governor Cuomo announced the closing of all nonessential business and a call to remain home except for essential services. What’s Not Available For the safety of my patients and based on these new rules, Bass Plastic Surgery is closed at this time for non-essential services including all surgical and non-surgical cosmetic treatments. I will continue to monitor information for health care professionals from public health and regulatory agencies regarding this crisis. When we can safely resume routine visits, we will post notices on our websites, social media and by email blast. Ongoing Available Services At this time, virtual or online visits are available for any existing or new patients desiring them. In addition, urgent and emergency services that are related to reconstructive plastic surgery are likewise available. Examples of this include but are not limited to facial fractures, lacerations (deep cuts), tumor treatment and skin and soft tissue infections. Ongoing care for patients recovering from surgery is also available. Please contact the office by telephone during normal business hours with any requests or needs.
